EFFECTIVE THERAPY

Often, it's in times of uncertainty, or emotional pain - when familiar ways no longer work and the path ahead feels unclear - that we're motivated to understand ourselves more deeply. Our work together offers a space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your true self - a chance to honour your soul's calling for meaningul change. I would be honoured to support you on this journey towards healing, inner wholeness and self-discovery.

ABOUT ALEX

Alex Golding Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Hello, I’m Alex

I’m a qualified Psychosynthesis counsellor London based (Farringdon, London Bridge) & online. I work in an integrative, relational way — offering a safe, reflective and confidential space where you can slow down, be heard, and meet yourself more honestly and compassionately.

I aim to support you not just in managing symptoms — but in finding deeper meaning, authenticity and direction. Together we can explore patterns of what’s painful, unresolved or uncertain in your life, and help you move toward wholeness, clarity and inner strength.

My Approach as a Psychosynthesis Therapist

I draw on a humanistic and transpersonal perspective, combining psychotherapeutic depth with spiritual insight. My work includes:

  • Psychosynthesis therapy – an integrative method focused on soul, subpersonalities and inner potential. Integrative means I use whaterver are most suited to your individual needs.
  • Mindfulness and Buddhist psychology – cultivating presence, compassion and self-awareness
  • Somatic and creative approaches – helping you reconnect with the body, expression and insight
  • Relational depth – building real, honest connection as the basis for change

My Journey as a Psychosynthesis Counsellor London Based Practitioner

I’ve been drawn to psychology, spirituality and philosophy from a young age, come from a diverse cultural background and have practiced SGI Buddhism for over 30 years. A creative professional within the arts, I am passionate about music, having direct experience of many sides of the arts industry as a self-employed producer. I work too with creatives who wish to overcome doubts, mine their true voice, and begin to thrive with greater satistfaction and stability in their lives. I love working with young people, men, or anyone wishing to further develop themselves and overcome blocks in their life.

The initial consultation is free, informal, and totally confidential, lasting 15 minutes (usually by phone). Explore the potential of therapy and working together, have basic questions answered & share any concerns you may have.

TYPE OF THERAPY

Psychosynthesis is a broad, open and hopeful system of therapy, where true self exists beyond the conflicts, dilemmas and behaviours that sap the joy out of life. I incorporate humanistic and integrative psychology, working in creative and soulful ways to suit your needs best, within a safe ethical framework. For more, see About Psychosynthesis)

HOW MANY SESSIONS?

How long therapy will take depends on each individual's background, needs, budget, consistency, willingness. I can incorporate short term or long term therapy, with an initial commitment for 6 sessions normally advised. I would be happy to discuss your needs in a free initial consultation

YOUR FEELINGS MATTER

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
— Carl Rogers

When we can accept our mistakes as part of who we are, without condemnation, we free ourselves to grow and transform.

Guilt or shame often arises when we fail to live in alignment with our true selves, but by practicing self-compassion and self-forgiveness, we begin to bridge the gap between who we are and who we are striving to become. Therapy helps us to 'trust the totality' of ourselves.
