Getting here

Ten minutes from the station

Farringdon is on the Elizabeth line, Thameslink, and the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, so it is a short hop from most of London and a direct run from Heathrow and the Thames Valley. Chancery Lane and Angel are both walkable. The walk is about ten minutes. Exmouth Market is two streets away if you would rather sit somewhere for ten minutes beforehand.

When you arrive, ring the second-floor bell for Terapia Consultancy and come up to the waiting area, where I will meet you at the appointed time.

When

Afternoons and evenings

In Farringdon I work afternoons and evenings.

Tuesday 3pm to 8pm
Wednesday 3pm to 9pm
Thursday 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and 7pm to 9pm

There is also a room in Streatham on Tuesday mornings, and Mondays and Fridays are online, as are Wednesday and Thursday mornings. If none of those fit, say so and we will look at it.

What people bring

You do not have to know where to begin

Usually it is something particular. It might be depression, or anxiety, or the two together. It might be a relationship, or a change that has left you unsteady, or an unresolved trauma. And sometimes it is not one particular thing, just a wish to make sense of yourself.

I see individuals rather than couples, though much of the work is about relationships, especially the one with yourself. There is a longer list of what we work with, and a page on what to expect the first time.

How the work goes

Shaped around you, not around a method

We start where you are rather than with a questionnaire. You talk, I listen, and between us we begin to make sense of what has been happening and why it has the hold it does. What we talk about stays between us. Sessions are confidential, within the BACP ethical framework.

The work is relational, which means the relationship between us is part of how change happens, not just the setting it happens in. More on what actually happens in a session.
